Beautiful cabin in a perfect location to see all the sights of Whittier and Girdwood. Wonderful host with all the accommodations one would need.
What a beautiful little cabin tucked away in a gorgeous setting with so much to offer! We had a wonderful experience - the cabin was super clean and very pretty. We had everything we needed and more. The hostess was right next door and very helpful and pleasant. We even saw a Mama moose and her baby right in our yard! The area of Girdwood was the perfect place to stay and explore. Our stay at Hideaway was unfortunately too short! We only could allocate one night to the hideaway on our roadtrip through Alaska but will definitely come back! The attention to details was exceptional!! Slippers, comfy bedding, spare quilts, toiletries, condiments, area information, etc. are just some of the notable things. Highly recommend! We stayed for a few nights during our recent Alaska trip at the placer cabin and absolutely could not have been happier. The setup was wonderful. The location was great and the hosts were extremely helpful! We even managed to forget some articles of clothing on our way to our next location and they kindly held onto them for us until we could swing back by and retrieve them. If ever we head back through girdwood we will definitely be checking availability of these cabins first!
