The Alyeska cabin was a perfect home base for my family’s trip to Girdwood. The accommodations fit our family of 4 and it was nice to have a kitchen to make meals easy. The owner was next door and was very helpful. He even let us know when moose were on the property so we got to see the wildlife! Thanks for making the visit memorable!
We stayed in the Alyeska cabin. The owners clearly care about the property and the rental was cute, equipped, and clean. The floors aren't level and the tub does not have a way to hang the sprayer for a shower, fyi. I also wouldn't recommend anyone with mobility issues trying to get up to the beds since you have to climb a ladder unless you sleep on the pullout sofa. But the reason I give 4 stars is because there was no curtain for the upper windows, which made it bright inside in the summer overnight. I'd still stay here ag... read more
We stayed in the Glacier Cabin for 2 nights while in town visiting from PA. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. There were many extra helpful items like coffee/tea, condiments/kitchen staple items, movies, slippers, etc. The location was very quiet and peaceful with forest hiking out back. It was a short drive to town for food/hiking. We enjoyed the food trucks at the Girdwood Brewery. Thank you, Patrick! We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was cozy, peaceful, and very comfortable. The beautiful scenery and relaxing atmosphere made our trip to Alaska even more special. We really enjoyed our time here and highly recommend this place!
Overall, a very comfortable and cozy place for 2 people to stay while enjoying the area. The cabin is a bit dated and the sleeping area is upstairs in a loft. Which can create issues for some. however, they do a great job of letting you know about the sleeping arrangement on their website. However, the "downstairs" kitchen and living room area is very well accommodated and comfortable. Overall, it is the perfect place for the area.
