Horrible customer service. Refusing to refund me over $400 since you have to cancel 1 MONTH in advance. Does not matter if you got the cancellation insurance. “Local” office number brings you to their outsourced call center. Do not use Vacasa.
Absolutely stay away. Had no keys to my unit. No response from the "host" at all. They didn't even know where the backup lockbox was. They differed me to the "local team" (some tech bro from Oregon) who did not get back to me until 11 the next morning to inform me that the house keepers had the keys all along. Inquired about getting a refund for the night in the cold running around looking for keys, the day of missed skiing and the hours of phone time trying to resolve it. Buyer Beware! East Condo 202 owners will cancel your reservation last minute because they want to use the unit instead. Not the Agency’s fault but they were unable to provide a comparable property on such short notice. Amazing disregard for their customers!
Vacasa is an AWFUL agency. Do not book ANYTHING if their name is on it. We booked a rental “101 Shimmy Shack” for $1000 for the weekend. We showed up and the parking spots were not plowed. My bf had to hand shovel a spot at 8:30pm on arrival just so we wouldn’t bottom out our 4WD dodge pickup. Here are the facts, all of which can be verified through documentation, written correspondence and notes from conversations with the company: We booked through AirBnb and Vacasa was the local vendor and manager of the properties. ON THE DAY OF (expected) CHECK IN to the elegant, high end home with privacy and mountain views we reserved and fully paid $1400 in advance, VACASA independently chose and reassigned our reservation to a totally different property (with NO NOTICE and without our knowledge or consent).
