I asked to end the massage after 15 minutes because it was so bad - the therapist was just rubbing lotion on my skin - no muscle work at all. I was truly shocked by such poor quality at a 5 star resort spa, and even though it was uncomfortable to tell the therapist I didn’t want to continue, it didn’t feel fair to suffer through a very bad and very expensive massage . I was recently at the spa for a massage over the Labor Day holiday. The resort itself is beautiful!! I didn’t stay there but I was completely in awe when my uber dropped me off. Alvadora is lovely. I thought the massage rooms were really unique and much cooler temperature wise than I anticipated (comfortable temp - I had just assumed they would be a little hot lol). Kaitlyn was wonderful! I received the 100 min Royal Massage and it was absolutely perfect! The resort and spa are beautiful and relaxing, just as we had hoped. We will definitely return.
My husband bought me a gift card at the front desk to be used at the spa. I went to use it 4 months after purchase. Spa tells me there is no money on it. They are not refunding me the $300 spent even after showing them my credit bill that clearly shows a charge of $300.
I loved the spa here. Chelsea was amazing, warm, and so helpful. The jacuzzi was half sun and half shade, the steam sauna smelt fresh, and the ambiance was quiet and earthy. Would love to come back here in the future. I heard the massage therapists were well seasoned and I can't wait to come back and get a massage with one of them!
