The one star is for the nurses. The glaring lack of stars is for the administration of this business. The only consistency with this company's claims and billing activity is Altus' inconsistency. They send you 4,258 automated reminders for each appointment (maybe a slight exaggeration, but the number is exorbitant), and they will literally hold your medication hostage, putting their nursing staff in a ridiculously uncomfortable situation with the patient, when they confuse themselves about your insurance coverage and their c... read more
Absolutely the worst customer care of any Healthcare provider my wife and I have ever encountered. My wife has to have infusions every 8 weeks and 3 out of 4 appointments are screwed up by Altus. The reasons vary from simple issues of people not reading her chart correctly, not obtaining insurance authorization in a timely manner, staffing issues etc. The San Antonio medical center office can't keep staff and each time my wife goes for an infusiib, she hears staff complaining about the company. If your medical office needs a company to get insurance approvals for medications, do not use Altus. For several months, they have been telling me and the rheumatologist that we do have the 2023 insurance approval for the expensive medication that helps me. So I called the insurance company myself last week. We do have the approval. And the insurer approved it in January. It’s March. I’m seriously overdue.
