Can’t give it more than a 4. Service was friendly and trying their best, but simply unable to keep up on a busy Saturday night. Management clearly booked more seats than the kitchen and waitstaff can manage. Food was not up to expectations, worst dish being the bagna cauda, a big squirt of anchovy paste in warm olive oil. Deserts were the high point, delicious. Atmosphere looks nice inside, the outdoor tables are unprotected from the ever-present breeze. I’ll give it another go, midweek rather than a weekend, and sit inside.
Really delicious pasta, their all'Amatriciana is probably the best I’ve had in San Francisco. Food is a bit expensive considering portion size, but quality is there. Lovely outdoor tables on a wide quiet street where the cable cars pass through. Our server was really nice and attentive and brought us more bread!
The pappardelle, spicy spaghetti with breadcrumbs, and crostini were delicious. The male Host who greeted/sat us was super nice. Our waiter (Italian man) wasn’t super friendly, but everyone else was. I highly recommended this place for their incredible pasta, just don’t expect service to be with a smile ;)
