New to the area and went to Alton Square for the first time. It's an ok mall for what's there, Finish Line, Spencer Gifts, Champs, JCPenney and Macy's. It has a very high vacancy rate (35-40%???) I've seen worse malls, but this is getting close to the dying mall category. I've never seen a Library inside a mall before, but I guess it's kind of a cool idea. I would have given them more than 1 star. However the new owners have removed guest services and now all kiosks with minimal notice. Putting many people jobless.

I work as a server so I am limited on shopping time. I called finish line and champs yesterday and was told the stores open at 9. I rushed to the mall to get a present and of course I was told wrong. Open at 10. I choose to drive miles away to other malls for this reason. No one cares at this mall. I will now be late for work. Won't make the same mistake. I will take me business else where. The stores they already have are ok, but there needs to be more stores in the mall. Ross coming to the mall is a GREAT thing! Can't wait for it to open. But there needs to be more. Forever 21, Hot Topic, A coffee shop, The Gap, more FOOD places and The Limited are just some suggestions.
I love the home town feel..kinda like Mayberry....
This mall needs more stores. There is hardly anything.
