Tom was great and Robin was great! Called them after another Ac outfit was here to do fall maintenance and the system broke 5 days later. Tom took a look at the system and gave me a reasonable quote to fix the problem. I plan to use Alternative Heating and Air going forward
Alternative Heating & Air is the best HVAC service in Chico that I recently discovered. This company is a great choice for people that don't want to be oversold or upsold on services and systems they may not need. Highly recommend! When our AC went down, Alternative came out the next day and had us up and running within an hour. Great, timely service - they are definitely our go-to from now on!
We had just come back into town right in the middle of a late spring heatwave only to find our AC had given up the ghost. The place was an oven. Then along came Alternative Air to save the day! HVAC- heater was not working. Tom came, very friendly and went to work. He diagnosed the problem, drew a diagram of what was happening and offered to order the part himself or I could order it myself, install and save the cost of installation. He even discussed how to install safely as this was more plug and play. I installed it myself, but found there was a secondary problem which we later found was due to when PGE installed a Smart AC controller.
