This place rocks!! – I needed to have my mothers wedding dress majorily restored for my parents 40th anniversary. Sarah ( I think) helped me with this project.She took painstaking time and effort to repair the frail lace and sequines and then had it professionally cleaned and preserved in a cardboard boustierre. Great people, excellent service – I read the reviews before going there as we just moved here from California. I took in my heavy parka jacket to have the zipper repaired, the gentleman who was there, he appeared to be the owner waited on me. Being from Southern California, this was the only coat I had, on a cold blustery day, I was outta luck, He asked me to wait while he got us some coffee, then he went back and replaced the thinggmajig that slides up and down the zipper to close it. Terrific service and people – We were in town from Fredonia for a New Year's wedding. the owner of the store, forget his name, went way out of his way to attend to all the stressed out members of our family who all had multiple issues with Tuxes, Bridesmaid dresses that didnt fit well from the place we bought them in KC. He and couple of seamstress stayed with us, way past the closing time on new years eve, made sure every item was fitting just the way we wanted, steam pressed and ready to wear for the big day. Lost my slacks – Took 2 brand new pants in to be hemmed. They lost my pants and more than a week after they were due they STILL have not found them. No explanation, no compensation. They said they would "call" when they were found. Am I to wait a year? A month? I try and call, no answer, when I stop by they "have to talk to the manage" who is NEVER there. I will not use again.

Great work!!! good people – My daughter needed to have her dress done for prom in a pinch. They came through for us, the store closed at 6:00 bu they stayed later then their hours to finish the work dresses. Highly recommend them, I believe they have in business the longest in town

superb service! – Had a wedding party this past weekend, my bridesmaids arrived the day before on Friday, 2 of them needed shoulders adjusted, we called around, none of the places could answer our request in English, till I googled alterations and found Sarah's. I called, wasnt expecting a man to answer, but he was polite, well spoken and stayed later then his shop hours to alter these dresses. Price was very reasonable, and dresses came out perfect. Always Pleased with Work done Here – I have been sewing all my life and there are just some things I don't like to do or don't have the time. I have had several things done at this location and have been extremely pleased. I feel sorry for the lady who wasn't satisfied with her wedding dress or the bridesmaid dress, but why didn't they take them to the bridal shop the clothing was bought at and have it done there? Don't do it... – I was highly disappointed with the quality of workmanship that my dress received. A friend recommended Alterations by Sarah so I figured I would try it out with a bridesmaid dress. When I brought the dress in the lady that initially helped me was clueless. My dress was huge on me so I figured it would be obvious as to what needed to be done (shorten the length and bring the sides in so the dress would stay up- it is strapless) but she had no idea of what to do. warning – Brought in some clothes to get fixed and when I came to pick them up, I was given someone else's clothes. When I asked about it, they said there was no way that they lost my clothes and what they gave me was mine (gave me clothes that were 5 sizes too big!). She said that there was no way there was a mix up and refused to compensate my in anyway for losing my clothes! So if they lose your clothes, it will be your fault for brining it there!
