I have been seeing Dr Altay since 2008 after being referred to her by my general MD. and I would not go to any other doctor! She is always pleasant, takes the time needed to discuss your health and answer questions. She does not rush to surgery although that is what I ended up needing to have and it was successful. Her staff is pleasant and have been with her for a long time which is a testament to her. While I only have an annual visit they always remember me and make me feel welcomed.
She only spent 5 minutes with me as a new patient. She gets upset if you ask any questions and is abrasive and talks to you in a condescending manner. She said I needed a total hysterectomy for my fibroid. I asked her why, and if there were other options. She said in a nasty tone to listen to her, and I got no explanation, as she told me she had to go to the next patient. I had 2nd opinions with 2 other doctors,. They both explained I definitely didn't need a hysterectomy & they were right.
