A place for everything This is a large store where you can find anything for just about any occasion. They carry, as the name implies, a large supply of garden product and plants. The survival of the plant that I have bought there has been good. They also have a substantial supply of holiday decorations with reasonable after hoilday sales. Time for Pet Dept to go! THEY BUY FROM PUPPY MILLS AND CHARGE YOU 7-10X WHAT THEY PAY FOR THE PUPPY! About 2 years ago my husband brought home a golden retriever puppy for our family that he purchased at the Alsip Nursery for $900. She had some health problems caused by living in unsanitary conditions (the vet said) that medicine cleared up in a couple weeks. But not a good sign I thought. More than a nursery Alsip's does have a great garden center and a nice wide variety of trees, shrubs, perennials and more. But what I like best is the new home decor section they have added. They have great accessories, accent furniture and artwork located in the center of the store. They also have toys, floral, christmas shop, grills and patio furniture. This is a fun place to shop no matter what time of year.
Wide variety! This place is huge! They have a vast selection of gardening and yard supplies, as well as items like holiday decorations, swing systems, etc. Their plants are healthy and hardy, and they guarantee their products.
Awesome Selection!! We love to go to Alsip Home & Nursery, even if just to look around. They have a wonderful selection of plants, trees, flowers...just about anything you would need for landscaping. They also have a section with outdoor furniture, grills, and even puppies!! We love to look at the puppies, they are always adorable. If You Care About Animals... If you care about animals and are socially-responsible you will not support Alsip Nursery. They buy their dogs and cats from "breeders" and by supporting their store you are perpetuating this practice. Certainly do not buy an animal from there which is perpetuating this practice first-hand. On average 10,000 homeless dogs and cats are euthanised in our country on a daily basis.
