I grew up in Altoona, Al's was my go to joint. 30 years, 200 miles away.....still the only bar that feels like home to me. Lots of great memories. The breaded wings have no rival. Sandwiches are great as well. Salads, whatever. Go have fun.
Every time I come to Al's I try something I've never had off of the menu. The food is great , the wait staff is short and to the point. It feels like they are rushing around that they don't have time for your table. But like I said the food is alway delish
Service was very slow....those of us that had fries with our sandwich or meal got them like 15 minutes after the rest of the meal. One person ordered a chicken salad and got it after everyone else was finished eating. The shrimp was so over done and dried out. Terrible experience.
Great burgers and steak on a stick is the bomb! Nice atmosphere!
