Even though the 50s are long gone, Al's benchmark burger, served Al's way, draws a whole new generation of fans. The lines out the door prove that, even in the 90s, a delicious double-cheeseburger is still in high demand. The crispy fries and grilled chicken breast are worth sampling, too. The casual decor and cheerful ambiance make this an excellent location for families. Many University of Texas at Arlington students also dine here for quality, affordable fare.

Not near the same quality as it used to be. Incorrect order to boot-left the onions and mustard and cheese off one burger in the order. Other burger was correct but looked like it had been run over. Fries were mediocre at best. Way too many burger joints out there to go back...miss the old Al’s.
Business response:
So sorry your order was not correct and you were not happy with your food. We are training and to I sure things go better. I hope you will give us another chance.
First time at the new location on October 29th and we most likely won't be back. Waitress didn't check on us and we were never offered refills. I ordered my usual stuffed hamburger steak add grill mushrooms and the meat was not seasoned the same and was burnt. When the waitress brought our check we had to ask for a refill on our drinks and with a smack of her lips she said okay. We had a view of the kitchen and saw many health code violations. Cooks on cell phones and didn't change gloves or wash hands after their call. Empl... read more
Love Al’s but sad they discontinued curbside carry-out with the move to the new location. We will have to find a new place for our diner-style breakfast fix for the time being.
Business response:
So sorry. We are trying to find a way to work in back in later. But at this time it doesn’t work out.
Fast service too. Glad they moved closer to me
This is not gourmet food. It is however delicious diner style Texas nostalgia comfort food. Pretend it’s the 60s
Just love Hamburgers French fries and onion rings. Waiters are great also!👍
Great food. Excellent hamburgers. Fried shrimp is great too. New, nice location . Plenty of parking and even outside dining. Friendly, efficient staff.
I ordered an open face chili cheeseburger with a salad. The salad was good, but the hamburger patty was very thin and it had very little chili on it and very little flavor. Not worth $8.20.
Business response:
I’m so sorry. I am sorry I didn’t know when you were there. That is a customer favorite. We have 2 different chili burgers one with a small amount of chili and one smothered and cheese cheese. We also have the thin original thin patties and a 1/3 # patties
Everything I have gotten there was wonderful!! I have had there chicken tenders, turkey club and BLT
