Before the apt the nurse commented that Dr M Goldman was in an even more of a grumpy mood than usual. Dr M Goldman came in and spent a most of the time I was with him discussing the problems he was having with the dragon dictation program on his computer. He did a cursory examination of my foot and ankle and was not interested in listening to my concerns. He was arrogant and rude. He left the room after minimal discussion of my foot. The radiologist came in to say a bone in my foot was broken and she told me she thought I ha... read more
I saw this doctor when I started having problems with my feet. At the time, I didn't even know I had bunions. I just thought I'd hurt myself somehow. Dr. Goldman, while seemingly very thorough at first, ultimately refused to discuss any other options with me besides conservative treatments. Basically, he pretty much just wanted to sell me orthotics. I was not against orthotics, but I wanted to discuss ALL the options, even surgery, so I could be well-informed. He refused to discuss that with me and was even a bit rude about ... read more
Very Rude – I had an appointment with Dr. Goldman. I was a new patient. There were several doctors I could have selected but, not knowing any of them, I took a chance going to this office. The doctor himself was OK. About average. His nurse was good. However, the woman running his front office was shockingly rude. When I walked in, she was berating someone on the phone. When I spoke with her, she was just horrible. At the end when I paid, there was no "thank you" or any trace of gratitude. As a patient, you have a lot of opt... read more
Can't recommend this clinic ... – I saw Michael Goldman in 2007 for what turned out to be a serious case of toenail fungus, and he didn't even seem to realize that's what I had. Instead, he lectured me about using better hiking shoes and he insisted on showing me a way to tape my toenails to hold them down onto the nail beds (IMHO, a totally useless procedure). My dermatologist verified that I had a fungus infection and, ultimately, I found an old-fashioned way to treat it, using vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. It's taken an ... read more
Pain free feet without surgery! – A previous podiatrist wanted to slice me open. "How can I get you into surgery today?!" Dr. Goldman examined my feet much more thoroughly including measuring range of motion of the toes. He said we should try orthotic inserts and check back in a year. Well, six months later, my bunions which had hurt like hell for going on ten years are nearly pain free. I'm from a pain level of 10 to a .368. Certainly I don't need surgery. The guy's old school competent and really knowledgeable. He has phot... read more
