Never tried acupuncture before and was apprehensive about it - I mean, who wants needles in them voluntarily? Rande showed me not only the benefits of acupuncture but that it’s not painful or weird at all. She treated my ankle that I had broke in early spring and showed me how to exercise it the correct way. I have been seeing Rande at Alpenglow Acupuncture since its inception. I first saw her for help with my summer hay fever allergies that would normally leave me incapacitated every June and July, even with all the best drugs that western medicine could deliver. After a visit to Rande, I'd be able to breathe again through my nose. She has also helped me with relief from back, shoulder, and neck pain. Rande helped me through health issues that modern medicine couldn’t. She has kept my body working and minimized my pain for years. I can tell if it’s been too long since my last acupuncture appointment.
I met Rande Lucas through Pilates at Stdio One. I was having intense back pain that seemed intractable, although somewhat relieved by Pilates practice. Rande suggested that she could help with acupuncture. She did. Because she is a nurse, Rande assesses and treats the entire person, rather that just the isolated injury.
I have been going to Alpenglow for almost 2 decades. I began when I was in pain and not able to lift my arms or touch my toes. One treatment and I was able to do both of those things. I have been treated for Anxiety on a monthly basis, has helped enormously. During my cancer treatment Alpenglow was a wonderful addition to the chemo and western medicine, I was able to stay positive and heal as a result of feeling my best, energetic, nausea at a minimum and boosting my immune system.
