The only possible thing better than the food at Alona's is the friendly atmosphere. I had the Cajun special and found it excellent. The Shrimp and cheese grits made me want more, and I do not like grits! The German chocolate cake was absolutely the best I have ever tasted. Then for lunch the next week I had the salmon cakes which were scrumptious. Almost made me glad they had sold out of my favorite, the Pork Tenderloin Scallopini.
Best food around!! Haven't had anything that wasn't delicious. Alona is amazing and a wonderful lady too! Her staff is great!
I absolutely love their black bean cakes! So close to the ones from Somewhere Else back in the day!
I'm glad I finally had a chance to dine in here. Those black bean patties were exquisite! The best ever. The chicken salad sandwich was great too. Hope you open up a location in JC soon?
