Dr. Sharma should write a book “How to run a medicine practice and treat your patients like family”. I always feel I have visited a caring family member when I see Dr. Sharma. And a very smart Doctor!!

Dr. Sharma is a dangerously inept and defensive PCP. He misdiagnosed my shortness of breath problem, saying it was due to overweight (my BMI is 27, slightly overweight) and declined to provide me an urgent referral to a pulmonologist, despite his own Pulmonary Function testing showing Severe Restrictive Lung Disease. He got very defensive when I requested he put this dubious diagnosis in my record & didn't. Dr Sharma is one of the most compassionate Dr I have had. When he found I had cancer he was there for me 100%. When other health issues came after he was on top of it. Cares deeply for his patients. NPM stopped excepting my insurance and I am not pleased. I want my Dr back.
I have been seeing Dr. Sharma for 10 years and think he is an excellent doctor. He also takes his time with me and discusses the options I have. I’m very happy with him!
I would not recommend Dr Sharma. I saw him for about a year and got to know him he gets angry real easy if you don't agree with him. If your active in your healthcare and ask questions he will tell you your asking to many questions. He will also send you sarcastic emails if you tell him something he doesn't like. He will tell you that he has 30 years experience which I don't care about. I want a doctor that will listen and understand what I am saying and treat correctly.
I would not recommend Dr. Sharma. He displays a paternalistic attitude and does not credit older people or women with the wisdom they possess. He does not seem comfortable taking more than 15 minutes to answer questions. If a patient refuses to accept his suggested treatment, even after getting a second opinion from the specialist in the field being discussed, he becomes defensive. For an informed patient expecting a doctor/ patient partnership, he is the wrong doctor.
Dr Sharma is very thorough in his explanations and about options. The referrals that he has given me have been excellent.
Dr. Sharma is absolutely the best doctor Ive ever had. Not only is he an excellent physician, but he is caring and kind. My daughter and I are both patients.
