I've been going Dr. Micki Ly for years. She's very competent and kind and is an outstanding dermatologist. I find her office very clean and her and her staff are extremely professional. I'll recommend her to all my friends and family..
If I could give her a 0 I would. DO NOT GIVE HER ANY OF YOUR MONEY! Both she and the receptionist are incredibly rude. I was there at 9:55 for a 10am appointment and there were 2 people already waiting. After 1 went in I asked if she was running late and I was told 3 people were ahead of me. I was appalled and asked why they stacked appointments like that. Then, within 5 minutes I was suddenly told to go to a back room (I guess because I complained). Very poor level of care. Dr Ly only cares about the profitability of her business, she does not care about patients' well being at all. She is a good business woman, but I would not call her a doctor. I closed my account there and am going to other dermatologist where I would be treated like a human not like a piece of machine or cattle.
Poor patient care from a doctor who wants to make lots of money fast with little care of her patients. I was reprimanded for wanting a full body scan for skin cancer and saw her for 5 minutes and then sent out the door. She was rude. I'm a 72 year old who takes a medication, which is known to put me at high risk for skin cancer. I would never use her as my regular dermatologist.
Worst Bedside Manner EVER... Terrible Doctor!!!!!!! Dr.Ly is a money hungry, self absorbed, sorry excuse for a physician. I saw her for tattoo removal on my lower back about a year ago. The first visit she was extremely unprofessional when I told her that the laser was terribly painful, she replied to me "you got the tattoo, didn't you?" and then she asked me if I had ever experienced child birth!!!! Being a long time patient of Aloha Dermatology. I love the efficiency and affordability that they provide. They are conveniently located in Kahului Near Walmart and Home Depot. Getting an appointment scheduled is very quick and painless. Not only are they one of the very few dermatology centers located on Maui, I think they are on of the best i have ever been to.
I was recently was referred to Aloha Dermatology by a family member of mine. From the first moment of me calling i could hear the Professionalism that the company provides. Scheduling my appointment was in a matter that i have never seen before. Quick , and to the point without any run around like many other doctors give you especially here in Hawaii. If you're looking for a dermatologist in Hawaii, look no further than Dr. Micki Ly . She's friendly, a good listener, down-to-earth, thorough, and most importantly,and also does her job well. All other office staff are very friendly and warm hearted as well. On Top of that she's quiet uncostly and a great doctor to see. Unlike many other doctors i have seen my wait time in the lobby was very minimal and the appointment process was very simple and quick.
