Nope. Excellent location and lovely historic property downtown El Paso. Within walking distance to a lot of wonderful restaurants.
The Aloft in Downtown El Paso is situated in the historical O.T. Bassett Tower. It is a former office building that was converted into a hotel. I like the historical features of this hotel, though I found the room to be on the small side. Though understandable given the history of the building. The location is convenient to San Jacinto Plaza and the Mexican border. Overall, my stay here was fine. It had the amenities that I wanted, but nothing really stood out about my stay.
I wasn’t wowed this time. I’ve stayed at aloft since they started. I didn’t feel it this time. The hotel is nice and all. But the service. I asked to extend the hotel for longer because I was working and didn’t want to interrupt my work day. They only gave me till 12. That gold membership is farce because I have always been loyal to the brand.
