Poor customer service. Previously used hotel and the experience was great. Last night/early morning 1am on 1/15 was refused a prebooked room due to both parties not being present when this has been done in the past. Finally booked a room and the CSR took an additional 30+ minutes to get it in motion. Instead of answering questions or offering any assistance he stared blankly unreactive.. They are very unprofessional here. The lady at the front desk was rude when we check in. So let’s start at the beginning where I ask them before I decided to go with this hotel & I done ask was they pool open they said yes. Then before I check in it was a yes then when it was time to go to the pool it was closed.. like what ?? I asked to speak to the manager because the only reason we came was for the pool because I have kids and we wanted to celebrate new years in a pool. As Marriott bonvoy member, Marriott is always my go to place to stay. However, I have found this location of Marriott Aloft to be exceptional. THE STAFF WAS SO KIND POLITE AND ATTENTIVE DURING A TIME OF STAYING AT CHRISTMAS.MOST PEOPLE WOULDN'T WANT TO BE AT WORK CHEERFUL.ENGAGING COULDN'T ASK FOR A BETTER STAY. Special shout outs to Tannica and Gena the asst. GM They made the stay even more enjoyable than we expected.Can't wait to return to this location.
We woke up with the vomiting flu, could obviously not travel the 8 hours in the car necessary to reach this destination to stay and the hotel refused to refund due to a “48 hour” cancellation policy. I always stay with A loft, never again. Life happens, illness doesn’t usually provide 48 hours notice. Apparently they don’t believe in customer service.
