Almstead is our go to tree service. We have been using them for at least 5 years for tree trimming, removal, fertilizing and spraying hemlocks. They have been managing our specimen beech tree (last one standing!) against the beech borer and our magnolia tree. I paid $1,700 for installation of a bamboo barrier, but the incorrect material was used and the work was not properly supervised. As a result, the bamboo returned and I had to hire another company to redo the work at additional cost. In addition, the plants and shrubs installed for $4,700 did not match the contract or my requirements and were never replaced despite my requests. At company suggestion called customer service. My call was not returned

Gary and team did an amazing job transplanting my beloved 80 year old Japanese Maple tree. From the treatments leading up to the move, to the move itself (it was a big job) the process was seamless. My experience with Almstead was excellent all around. I felt confident in their work from the initial visit and consult. The crew was remarkable, working steadily all day in extraordinary high temps. They removed a 40 foot tree and I found the process to be fascinating. Their thorough clean-up was beyond anything I expected. The communication I had with the office was great as well.
