If Jackie Diaz is still the Danbury manager, then run…don’t walk…to another agency. She got rid of a most excellent home aide & made the client miserable after the clients daughter involved her in a false smear campaign. She didn’t care about the client, who was a good friend of mine. She actually lied to her, then got her a sub par aide she didn’t like. I hope the corporation wised up & replaced Diaz with someone with integrity.
Almost Family provided live-in aide care for our Mom (Florence). There were two aides - Yvonne and Lorraine, that were just extraordinary. They were so good and beneficial to our Mom, and that allowed her to stay in her own apartment so much longer and enjoy our visits and times out. They worked at keeping her as good as she could be and that was something considering the ailments and conditions that she had. Top Tier at providing below subpar care. This agency has about 2/3 good HHA that I’ve come across. There is no proper basic training (ex. if you don’t watch some of them they will wear the same gloves they’ve cleaned your loved one with and then go in the kitchen with those same gloves and prepare their food, lack of awareness for when emergency response is required, etc etc).
