Extremely disappointing experience with reception. Our stay at Allurity Hotel Hobart was unfortunately overshadowed by our interaction with the receptionist, Caitlin. At check-in, we were told that additional amenities should be requested from reception. Later, because our room was stocked for two people despite our booking being for three, we asked housekeeping for additional towels and milk. Staff were rude, especially that Lady named Caitlin from reception (RUUUUUUUDE), she ruined our holiday by the way she was talking down at us from arrival to the second day, apalling behaviour. Whoever she is in the company, she must be removed in that customer facing position. She’s enough to ruin the entire Hobart’s Tourism Reputation, I kid you not. DO NOT BOOK! DO NOT BOOOK!

I honestly was not overly impressed with this place. I think my impression overall might have been higher, however the Receptionist who was on the day I checked in created a really bad first impression that just stuck with me throughout my stay. I showed my driver licence for ID as you do when checking in to any hotel. She looked at it and made a comment to me that I “looked tired” in my photo. Upon arriving at Allurity Hotel, we were met with friendly staff who were very helpful. We booked an 'accessibility' room to aid with recovery after a hospital trip. The bathroom in particular was very accommodating to those requiring grab handles as aids or need to sit down in the shower. The rooms are dated, but well kept and clean upon arrival. The rooms are not serviced daily, which is generally fine on shorter (1-2 night stays), however, during our 4 night stay, our room was not serviced once. It would have been nice to... read more
