Everything was a positive experience!
They treat my dad like family! Everyone is friendly, I've never seen it dirty and it DOESN'T SMELL like a nursing home. Yes, I said it... you KNOW what I'm talking about. It means the world to me that they treat him so well and keep it so clean. Thank you all for what you do.
I wouldn’t even give them one start but it’s the only way I cld write a review. My father was moved there from Quincy Illinois due to it being the only VA contracted facility w an available bed in the area. He has been in steady decline for about 5 days and drasticly the last 2 days. I made the 2 hr drive there and back and then went again yesterday to see his hospice nurse. She told me he may have a week max and that is pushing it that if she were me she’d advise me to stay close maybe contact family so that we cld swap out... read more
My family member is regularly in dirty clothing and doesn't even get a washcloth to clean his face upon waking. The kitchen ignores his dietary preferences, so he goes hungry most days. They lost one of his hearing aids. I spoke to 4 different nurses asking them to take his remaining hearing aid to the VA clinic so he could get new ones. That was not done. Very negligent staff.
