I recently purchased a different car and switched policy to it from trade in car. After finding out it would increase 50 a month I talked to a representative there and was told nothing they could do. So I switched to another company. When I canceled Allstate they kept 130 of premium I just paid 3 days prior. Customer here is just a policy number nothing more.

They are incompetent and refuse to take accountability. Was a customer for years I had hit a deer and had to make a claim, they said it was not covered. I had full coverage on the car they had a new person who when I called to make a payment once they had wrote a whole new insurance account and had me paying that one instead of the one I had full coverage on, I had two policy's for the same cars, when we found out I had them cancel the new policy, they did not, they canceled the old policy I was unaware of them canceling the... read more

I haven't had any particular problem with my homeowners policy through Allstate, although I haven't filed any claims either. I will say that I've tried to communicate with their agent's office, on more than one occasion, and I never get a reply. I have to phone them. I think it is discourtious and unprofessional to not acknowledge having received a customer's email.
