Furnace making a LOUD humming noise on Monday. House is 91 degrees inside. Run to Allred's on Tuesday and buy a capacitor for five bucks. Employee at Allred's says it sounds like the motor, but the capacitor is a good place to start. Install capacitor. Furnace continues to make a LOUD humming noise. Back to Allred's who orders the motor and has it the next morning for $165. REALLY hot in the house. Install motor Wednesday after work and the furnace sounds happy again. I was waiting for a part to arrive from the manufacturer that I ordered through Allred's for over a month. Turns out the part is no long being made. No responses to emails and failed to tell me this. The gal never sent me my money back either, still waiting. Guess I'll have to call again. Poor business practices.
This company is amazing. First they were open on Saturday. Second, we discovered our part was broken. Just after they closed. An employee stayed late and met us to exchange the part. Exemplary customer service! !!
