I really appreciated the kindness of the front desk staff, the radiologist, and the nurse who asked me what was happening and took my vitals in the urgent care. However, the doctor that I saw was very dismissive of me and it was very off-putting. I understand that it is urgent care and that they were short-staffed. Dr Thompson was very thorough. He listened, and when the X-ray results didn't seem to match my exam and symptoms, he took the time to show me a plausible explanation as to why my fracture wasn't clear on the X-ray. I didn't feel rushed even though I knew there were several other patients lined up checking in behind me I appreciated his allowing me to collaborate and decline pain medication and manage things on my own.
