OUT OF NETWORK TEST WITHOUT CONSENT! I would have given zero stars if that were an option. I went to urgent care and saw a doctor who requested a lab test, which turned out to be quite expensive—but no one informed me of the cost or asked for my consent to proceed with such an expensive test, even though I was fully conscious at the time. I’ve always been seen quickly, the staff are very kind and explain what they’re doing, and I get test results promptly.
Urgent care is a very efficient check-in and has great text updates. However, not a great place for children. For example, with blood draw, they do not offer numbing medication prior to the needle stick. In addition, my child received a Prescription of adult dosing for antibiotics. I didn’t realize it until I got home After picking up the prescription from the pharmacy. Because of his Age and weight he should have received a much lower dose.
