I was assigned a different home care service which never showed up. Allina Health Home Care Services has been excellent in helping me recover from a major surgery. I am receiving nursing visits, PT, and OT services in my home. I especially enjoy the fact that they call and ask what time and what day is best for me. It is important to have a nurse come and take your vitals after being discharged from the hospital. I’ve had several different nurses and they are all very pleasant and do their jobs well. The first visit by Mercedes to my sister today is (I'm typing as shes being a jerk this entire visit) absolutely infuriating because my sister is a fully functioning working adult being discounted and Mercedes being outright rude to her. It is also it was very depressing to see how far care has sunk for home health care. Sending this rude woman to be condescending and rude is disheartening. Retrain for compassion and care instead of outright rude & condescending.
