These people will shut off your power days before your bill is due and demand payment before they turn your power back on. even after you pay it takes days for the power to come back. all my food is bad after I went shopping I spent my whole check on food. We had severe storms in the area, and Alliant Energy had sent out a proactive email to all customers with a heads up about potential power issues and helpful preparation tips. When I experienced a power outage, I was able to report it effortlessly through their automated line. Within 15 minutes, a technician arrived, and they had restored the power within the next half hour. The automated system is frustrating
Make sure your name is removed from a property after you sell or they will still try to bill you. Even after a year and a half after the sale they billed me 50 dollars,sent it to collections, I dispute it and still try to bill the 50 dollars after that. How about using the info collections shared with and pursue the new owners of the property?
