The rules that Alliance Work Partners has around authorizing sessions is ridiculous. After 6 sessions with a certain therapist, the patient can not get authorized for anymore sessions with that specific therapist for 90 days. However, the patient is able to immediately get authorized for 6 more sessions with a different therapist without waiting 90 days. This is an illogical rule since the same amount of sessions are being authorized, but the patient has to go to someone new instead of staying with the therapist who is alrea... read more

However, you are able to immediately get authorized for 6 more sessions with a different counselor. This is an illogical rule since the same amount of resources are being used, but the patient has to go to someone new instead of staying with the therapist who is already familiar with them. The lack of common sense is frustrating.

Their employee assistance program is a complete joke. I wonder if they don’t pay enough to counsellors or just have bad ones on their network .. AWP basically sets an appointment for you with the counsellor who either never follow up or never even get in touch! AWP doesn’t seem to follow up to see if the counselling session even happened!! It was a waste to try and reach out to them for help.
