I originally had a positive experience here, but unfortunately I’ve decided to take my children to a different dental office. My decision wasn’t based on the dental care itself, but on the level of customer service I received when trying to resolve a billing and insurance issue. Felt so belittled by this dds I do not recommend taking your teen here just go to a general Dentist. If you have medicaid get ready to literally get yelled at in the waiting area by this dds.
Dr. Dan and his staff are wonderful with my autistic son. I've been to other pediatric dentist that claim to specialize in special children and they refused to see my son after many failed attempts but Dr. Dan and his staff must be magic because we are now 3 visits in with success each time. I cannot express my gratitude enough for Dr. Dan and his staff.
If anyone is looking for a pediatric dentist but worried about how their kids will do, I highly suggest Dr. Donohue. He was so patient, loving and empathetic towards my son. My biggest fear was the the dentist would get annoyed or frustrated if my son was having a hard time. I had none of that from Dr. Donohue. I’m so thankful we found him and I wish I would have found him sooner. He’s is well versed in working with kids on the spectrum and he meets them where they’re at.
