First time eating at Alley & Vine and had dinner on with family to celebrate my dad’s birthday. The hostess/server was wonderful. The food was delicious. For appetizers we ordered Calamari and Apple & Beet Salad-it was pretty good. For my entree, I ordered Day Boat Scallops and it was delicious. I don’t normally eat greens beans because of texture but this totally changed my palette- it was soft and crunchy. The reviews were right about the food very sus. I did wait for about 20 minutes before I got a server I ended up just sitting at the bar. I had the zucchini with the sauce which was good. I tried a New York steak medium. Well that thing was well done. They let me know to order your steak medium/well. When I received it, it was well done Both times. Servers were friendly, and the food came out quickly, but many chairs were unflipped when we arrived. Disappointing food. The oysters didn’t taste fresh, and the crab and avocado had an ammonia flavor. My corn hash was sour and gave me a stomach ache. The only enjoyable part was the French fries. Ambiance was acceptable, and the upstairs area is kid-friendly. I wouldn’t go back.
A bit pricey but commensurate with the food and service.
