Suffice to say I wish I would have looked at more reviews before booking here. The interrogation up front about billing and credit cards (I felt I was signing my life away) should have been the warning sign it felt like. Perhaps multiple people refuse to pay after the crappy service they receive? I was encouraged to find an allergist by a gut specialist, even though my symptoms were more systemic and therefore non-obvious. I.e., I didn't have any suspected specific food allergies. My son has done the Oral Immunotherapy program for food allergy (cashew) with Allergy and Asthma Center of MN. It’s been a great process. Dr. McMahon and the team are very knowledgeable and caring. We’re so glad to not worry about food cross-contamination with cashews/tree nuts- just with we would have done it sooner! The videos and info about OIT on the website are very helpful.
I had an extreme reaction to my allergy shot. I went to urgent care for EpiPen. I tried calling clinic several times and they NEVER called me back to this day, its been months. Still having a horrible time trying to get my records sent to new clinic, now need to get tested all over again and start shots from the beginning.
Both of our kiddos have gone through Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) and it’s life changing. Both started as infants and Dr.McMahon has walked us along every step of the way. It can be a scary process dealing with severe allergies, so having a team you trust completely is vital: this is the team. We are eternally grateful to Dr.McMahon and the Allergy and Asthma Center of Minnesota!
