They really helped me out of jam when I did the very professional thing of leaving my battery at home.
I had a fantastic experience here!! Make sure to ask for Brian when you come in. He was a great help and very kind. I needed to get my camera ready for a big tip to Europe this summer and I found everything I needed and more. Brian also taught me some pretty cool things about my camera and gave me some great tips. I felt like the prices were really good and fair as well. It was great talking to someone passionate about their work and sharing it with others. Thank you for all the help! Will be coming in in the future.
I went in yesterday to purchase film for my camera, and the experience was disappointing. The employee at the front had a horrible attitude and made me feel like helping me was an inconvenience. He discouraged me from purchasing the film I came in for and instead pushed a lower-quality recommendation. He seemed more interested in watching his phone than providing any type of customer service. I left incredibly dissatisfied wouldn’t not recommend supporting Allen’s!
Allen’s Camera is fantastic! I recently rented a lens from them and also ordered some prints, and both experiences were excellent. The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable, helped me pick the right lens, and answered all my questions. The prints came out beautiful and high quality, exactly how I hoped. I’ll definitely be coming back here for future rentals and printing needs—highly recommend!
Overall, this was a decent experience, and there are genuinely some great people here. That said, there were a few frustrating moments that are worth noting. One of the front desk employees we interacted with today came across as somewhat rude and condescending.
