This was my first time visiting, and the experience was genuinely concerning. The employee who helped me (I don’t remember his name) was not friendly at all. When I said “hi, I am looking for lenses for a Canon camera”, his response was, “Well, To buy? To rent? To look at them?” which came across as dismissive and unprofessional. They really helped me out of jam when I did the very professional thing of leaving my battery at home.
I had a fantastic experience here!! Make sure to ask for Brian when you come in. He was a great help and very kind. I needed to get my camera ready for a big tip to Europe this summer and I found everything I needed and more. Brian also taught me some pretty cool things about my camera and gave me some great tips. I felt like the prices were really good and fair as well. It was great talking to someone passionate about their work and sharing it with others. Thank you for all the help! Will be coming in in the future.
I went in yesterday to purchase film for my camera, and the experience was disappointing. The employee at the front had a horrible attitude and made me feel like helping me was an inconvenience. He discouraged me from purchasing the film I came in for and instead pushed a lower-quality recommendation. He seemed more interested in watching his phone than providing any type of customer service. I left incredibly dissatisfied wouldn’t not recommend supporting Allen’s!
