Every staff member, regardless of role and responsibility, makes your care and comfort their #1 priority. Pre-surgical visit provided all the information I needed, greatly reducing anxiety on the day of my procedure. My husband was kept informed the entire time. Nursing staff responded within 3 minutes of a request for assistance throughout my entire stay. No pain! My friend was just discharged from surgery and was experiencing terrible after effects... within a week his in-home nurse identified he had gotten an infection from the hospital - HSS surgical team wouldn’t help! Nobody from HSS would. He had to take himself to a local emergency room with limited post surgical mobility. HSS is a dirty hospital and they completely ignored his well being. Beware this place.
Best place there is! Caring and compassionate. Plus I am back on my feet as promised.
It needs to focus more on post-op recovery. I had a total hip replacement in 2014 with Dr. Michael Cross and that leg is nowhere near back to functioning as it had been before the hip issue. The difficulty I have walking since the surgery has negatively impacted every aspect of my life.

I cannot day enough good things about the personable foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Jonathan Deland. He removed Morton neuromas from both of my feet that had made walking an excruciating experience. I have referred others to him and when he feels that a nonsurgical option might be effective, he makes appropriate referrals. Not only is he a highly skilled surgeon but he is a mensch. I couldn’t recommend a physician more highly than I do Dr. Deland. Lynne Twining
Dr. Marx is an Amazing Surgeon. I am only 3 weeks post op and I am feeling great. I highly recommend him. Dr. Marx is very professional and his entire team was amazing.
