Back in April 2024, I went to the UCLA Spine Center for lower back pain. Dr. Jae Jung told me the problem was my SI joint and gave me a steroid injection. It did absolutely nothing. A couple of weeks later, they tried the same injection again—still zero effect. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Chen. I came to him with back pain that was diagnosed as SI joint dysfunction. Dr. Chen was working with a fellow, who spent a significant amount of time talking with me and hearing my story, so I expected to only have a minute or two with Dr. Chen. Horrible bedside manners, called a resident a “retard” in front of me, a patient. Didn’t ask me questions or context, would not look at me the whole visit. Dismissive. Go somewhere else.
