When my neurologist, within the same office retired, I started seeing Dr. Petite. Although they have much different personalities, they have the most important thing in common, caring and compassion. Dr. Petite is a brilliant MD. He has helped me with my neurological issues and with medical problems that have crossed over that are not specifically neurological.
Dr Pettee I had severe shingles pain in one forearm. No other knew how to treat it. Dr. Pettee knew it was a reaction to a defective shingles vaccine. He had a composting pharmacist make a special topical treatment. Dr. Pettee is very caring, very thorough, n very knowledgeable. I feel grateful having him as my doctor M.Mosher
Dr Pettee is a REAL DOC he takes his time gets as much info as needed I feel very confident in Dr care. Negative ? The office is not updated ...equipment is from the beginning of medicine.
I went to Dr. Pettee for many years until I realized he was only increasing the dosage on my meds but not fully addressing my issues. He’s very awkward and I was always nervous when I had an appointment with him. I left his practice and am now with another doctor who has addressed my medical issues and helped me with a different medication to help alleviate my pain.
While in crisis- having 5 consecutive days of seizures, I received a voicemail from the practice, I called them back and a familiar receptionist answered and was immediately snappy and cruel. Exasperated, I tried to have my words heard but was met again with resistance and intimidation until I was hung up on in a state of crisis. I called back because I was in a medical emergency, but the receptionist mocked me again and hung up the phone. After desperately calling a third time, I found that my number had been blocked. Horrible! He asked me why I have seen many Neurologist, I told him because no one can figure out whats wrong with me! He did a nerve conduction test and that was it! Very rude to me and I just left the office. No Doctor will treat me with disrespect EVER!
Dr. Pettee was very thorough in my examination, I would strongly recommend him and his practice. He did not hesitate to order an MRI to make conclusions. I received the MRI results on the day promised. I'm very glad I was referred to Dr. Pettee by my primary doctor.
Dr Pettee is the most thorough and knowledgeable doctor I have experienced. Had a form of shingles on my arm; only doctor out of four could cure it. Recently had severe leg pain only doctor to take time to diagnose as spinal stenosis. Though I was in horrible pain he insisted I avoid surgery, which I was able to do. Mike Mosher
I asked Dr. Pettee about the possibility of having a sleep disorder. He said there was no possibility and that I should consider seeing a psychologist for a split personality disorder. Completely offended, I didn't get a sleep study done until my cousin encouraged me to just go on my own two years later. I was diagnosed with narcolepsy with cataplexy. My episodes were automatic behavior and cataplexy. You think a neurologist would know the difference.
