I have had nothing but great experiences with the Pain Clinic. Staff has always been helpful and understanding. Dr. Afzal, can be direct, but I prefer that from my physicians. He has always explained the procedure and other options available.
Very displeased with my experience. Dr. Maldonado was extremely rude and treated me like I’m not actually in pain and as if I was drug seeking. This guy clearly doesn’t give a shit abt his patients he’s just there for his paycheck. I will be looking for some other Dr to see, if you could even call him that.
My partner was referred to Dr. (lol if you can even call him that) Maldonado for their back & hip pain after some MRI results. Got to him & he said to try a steroid injection in the hip. Scheduled. Didn’t help. Went back because he said next step would be epidural. He then said “just kidding I actually just looked at the MRI & I don’t think it’s going to help.” I am at a loss as to why the MRI scans weren’t looked at PRIOR to any of this?? That lady at the front desk is so rude! I've never been in Waterloo, Iowa. Nor have I ever been seen by a facility in Waterloo, Iowa. This woman had absolutely no interest in listening to people that call in I couldn't even get a full sentence through without her cutting me off she was so absolutely disgustingly rude? Thank you, Dr. Afzol, for performing a life-changing surgery on my father. For over 12+ years, he’s been completely disabled, in constant pain, unable to live like himself, and reliant on pain medication. After the surgery, he’s like a new person, reborn.
