genuinely the worst hospital i've ever been to. incredibly rude staff, waited a half an hour in the lobby with my partner vomiting and even passed out from the pain, when i finally talked to staff, she snapped and said we had to just sit and wait, it was shift change. if my life depends on a SHIFT CHANGE this hospital isn't for me. Make the drive to zeeland hospital, I promise it's worth it. When they saw how bad he was, they didn't even check him in at the front desk, they brought him back immediately.
Come on, fix your call handling system! Twenty minutes waiting just to ask to be transferred to pediatrics (and they didn't answer, twice). Set up direct lines or a better way to reach various departments via the call prompt. Our Pediatrician (Dr. Franzen) is great but this is ridiculous.
I'm using My fiance's phone to do this review, I wasn't pleased with the er doctor she had. My fiance bp was high, chest pain and she was shaking arm num I was scared for her. Er doctor gave pain meds but still wasn't helping her. He was only one I had issue with, nurses were amazing no problem there just the doctor I had problems with. Told her next time we'll be going to different er if happens again. He acted like she was faking but my fiance i could tell was and distress
Hour and a half for blood work and ekg at 6am. When they say " someone will be right with you" that's a lie. What they really mean is just sit there and wait while we forget about you for 45min.
Ascension Borges Allegan Hospital might be a small hospital to other people, but to me and family, this hospital is the best. I love the doctors, nurses and staff, they treat you like a human being and care about us. I am so thankful and blessed to call this hospital my second home.
