Dr. Nanney had to do 2 laminectomies within 34 days because the first one did not adequately address the issues in both legs. Four months later a 2 level fusion was needed (with another surgeon thankfully) but the left foot still "drops" and, although the back is stable, the left leg and foot never truly recovered. Sub-par surgeries but no recourse.
Dr. Nanney was straight to the point and never waivered. He helped me when I needed it the most. My appointments were always on time, he never left me waiting. Follow up was easy.
I recently underwent surgery for removal of a recurrent astrocytoma in my spinal cord. The location of the tumor required a delicate surgery to make certain there would be no additional deficit (paraplegic due to a prior surgery). Through my recovery which included complications not due to surgery, Dr. Nanney stayed very involved with my progress and recovery. I'm now returning to work full-time with no additional deficit and feeling pretty well as I continue recovering. Thanks Dr. Nanney!
Dr. Nanney preformed a Lumbar fusion on me about six weeks ago and I have to say 2 1/2 weeks after surgery I was walking so well on my own. I was amazed of how well I was feeling and am so very grateful to Dr. Nanney for his promptness and concern for my urgent care situations. He and his team had an immediate plan and was executed in a matter of hours to elevate my health issue! Thank you so much Dr. Nanney.
I was extremely disappointed by Dr. Nanney's arrogance & lack of empathy. Questions weren't answered directly. For example, when asked about surgical options he replied, "That's too much for you today. We will discuss them at your next appointment." He left the room to write a script but never returned to wrap up the appointment. I left frustrated without a plan of action. I wrote him a 2-page letter regarding my dissatisfaction over a month ago & have yet to receive an acknowledgment.

Dr. Nanney just performed an L5-S1 microdiscectomy on me two weeks ago and I couldn't be more pleased. He and his staff did a great job and I'm healing well. I just had my two week checkup and my incision is looking good and I'll be able to start PT in a couple more weeks. Thank you so much Dr. Nanney!
