Dr. Akerman is not my normal OB doc but he did deliver my son at St. Joseph. I was so nervous about having a doctor I was not familiar with but my worries vanished once I met him. He has a little bit of a dry and sarcastic sense of humor but in the most endearing way! The jokes and constant banter between him, my husband, and myself is what made my delivery an enjoyable (yes enjoyable!) experience! Couldn't have asked for a better doc to deliver my son. Once I am ready to have another baby I will be switching to his office
I think Dr Allan Ackerman is the best dr he delievered my daughter in 2009 i would highly recommended him hes awesome thank you dr ackerman

I wouldn't go anywhere else. He is a wonderful doctor. He explains everything in detail an doesn't leave you wondering anything. He is caring and makes you feel so comfortable. I recommend him to everyone I know. All my sisters and my sisters in law go to him.
