HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE 1. THEY INSTALLED THE WRONG PART. I visited the All-Star Bike Shop in Cary to purchase and replace “clip-in” cleats on my road biking shoes. I stated directly that I did not know which cleats to choose. They assured me they knew which ones to use. However, they selected and installed the WRONG the cleat. This became evident once I got home and tried to use the new cleats Here, after 2 hours of attempts, adjustments, and reading the online manual, I still was unable to click the cleats into the pedals. 2. ... read more

***** I am sorry your experience didn't work out to your expectations.

I have spoken with both the mechanic and salesperson involved. They tried to figure out which cleats you needed based on the very worn cleats that you presented. Information on what pedal was on the bike was incomplete. They acted in good faith to get your shoes ready to ride.

The next day on the phone, I did say that I would take back the cleats and if we had the correct cleats, would swap them for the cleats that didn't work, ... read more
Unfriendly shop, you won’t get what you ask for. I went to get a specific part (that showed on the website) was told I could get a cheaper part and was only sold the cheaper part that doesn’t work. The part is cheap enough to not warrant a drive back into Cary, but a warning to others that the staff will definitely talk you into cheaper, less quality parts, even if you specifically ask for a certain one.
Went to shop around and make a purchase at this store today. Was told to wait outside as they have a two person in store limit. Waited a few minutes outside in the heat and then left. Will make my purchase somewhere else later on and will never shop here again. If there going to limit there in store shopping they should probably have some one outside while people wait to answer questions or help guide. The experience of opening the door and getting barked at by a sales associate and then left outside in 90 degree weather wit... read more
So today, my 9 year old son and I stopped by All Star Bike Shop, for his 9th birthday which is also today. We walked up all excited to buy him a new mountain bike for his birthday. He hopped on one of the 30 bikes that were on display outside. Sat on the bike to see of it was the right size, excited, and then pushed his legs on it no more than 5 feet into two empty parking spots next to the tent display, under my guidance right next to him. Then an employee comes storming out and yells at us and him (9years old) saying "hey ... read more
Business response:
It is never the best thing to have to respond to a negative incident, especially when I did not hear or witness the event. I had received a call from the gentlemen regarding the matter. There is of course a response from those involved. Here is what I was told from the associate and another party. The bike in question was a sold bike withe a sales receipt on the handlebars and the associate was trying to protect the sold bike and not allow a minor to ride without a helmet. It was relayed to me he was respectful in language ... read more

These guys are excellent. I have bought 2 road bikes from them. Very straight forward and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend them. Ty guys for the bike building party and getting my daughter's graduation gift done in time for her celebration!
Great store! Extremely Helpful, Friendly, Knowledgable Staff. Big shout out to Michael.
Would like to give the guys a big shout out for helping me with a warranty issue with a wheel. I did not purchase the bike from them and the store where I got it is no longer in business. They were very gracious even with all the stuff going on now. I have been to all of the All Star locations and have always been treated well. Thanks again.
Unmatched customer service and incredibly well-stocked shop.
