If I could give 9 stars I would. I came to Google reviews several years ago when I landed in Asheville and was put off by the one negative review. Now, in hindsight, I realize that I had decided nearly free counseling must be 'too good to be true.' The people that work here, each and every one I came across, even in passing, were warm, caring souls that love what they do. Start with Pam, the Clinical Manager, and you'll see what I mean. Dr. Kate Gregory, the psychiatrist is a rarity. I've seen about a dozen in my lifetime for medication management, only two did I feel actually listened to my experiences. I felt so supported by Dr. Gregory and the two therapists that I saw there during a bout of recurrent PTSD and then a Lymphoma diagnosis and treatment. You can trust these people. And you can ask for a change of therapist if the availability or the style of one doesn't meet your needs. I really miss their loving care and support, but hold in my heart the absolute gift they were for a year in my life. If you are uninsured, don't hesitate to get the help that you need, it's right there.
