Giving them a shot I was shocked to hear that Jim went out of business as I have always bought my Monitors there. I am going to give the new owners a shot and see where it goes just as I did Jim many years ago. Good Luck guys hope it works for you

Prehistoric Pets makes my son roar with happiness My son loves coming here to visit the huge reptiles and turtles. Sometimes you'll see baby iguanas etc that passed away and still in the display. So I had to explain that to my 3 year old. He did get to see little tiny newborn mice and knew that they were the lizards lunch. They charge you if you want to feed the big reptiles. Its a fun place for a field trip for your preschooler. Just wash your hands after you leave.

i love this shop my name is shane and i just wanted to say i started going to prehistoric pets about two years ago.and i plan on to continue to go there the new owners are a really great staff they know what there talking about thats why there in the business i was just in there today tuesday janurary 19 2010 to purchase a bulb for my bearded dragons and i must tell you that eric and his staff are great he was more then helpfull and showed me everything about the bulb i needed and if it would be sufficent so as far as all yo... read more

Going Down HILL My kids loved going there, but the new owners are not keeping it up. The cages are dirty, the turtle's are in really gross water, and they don't have many reptiles. They also have their children working the cash register. There is also a little baby who needs to be cleaned-- her face is broken out with a rash and her clothes are filthy! Her little bare feet were completely disgusting. She follows customers around in the store (she is 1 1/2 or so)-- very uncomfortable. They also need help with product displays... read more

Prehistoric Pets: Home of Horrible, Deadbeat Employees I visited Prehistoric Pets two days ago out of curiosity--I was appalled at what I witnessed. The employees stood idle at the counter while at least four dead turtles floated in the small indoor pond, unattended to. One dead turtle in particular looked dead for hours; it had turned a ghoulish blue-green and was floating upside-down as other turtles attempted to eat its corpse. My Kids love the place They have all sorts of creepy crawlers for me exciting creatures for my kids. They get to see the snakes and lizards eat. For extra entertaiment the kids sometimes get to chase the crickets that escape into the store area. It is always time to see the creatures after an afternoon of matinee at Movies 8. It's a tradition now.

many pets! they have a very wide selection of animals such as snakes, fish, lizards and so on. you can see them up close and personal and even feed them if you'd like. fun place just to go and check out!
