Understaffed, very poor at responding to emails and phone calls. It can take over a week to hear back, or more. Incidents are often not documented properly by PSWs or staff will say, everything is good even though it clearly may not have been. Food on the first floor looks amazing while many lunch meals in assisted living are ultra processed even though sugar is terrible for dementia patients. My parents have been here 6.5 years and I have spent much time recently having meals with my dad while mom is in hospital. The staff here are incredible. Hiring is done well here! Shoutout to Maryna who runs an incredible team here with meals and serving! Healthcare worker Jerry is also a rockstar! Love this guy! Best retirement residence by far here!
I have been a Registered Nurse for over 47 years and still work on a casual basis. I am often asked where I would place a person with dementia who requires 24-hour safe care within a locked setting. Blossom Program at the Aspen Heights Retirement Residence: I am so pleased to provide a review of the Blossom Program - an adult day program for residents as well as non-residents. The program coordinator Haley is perfect in her position - completely supportive as well as very creative and engaging.
