The maintenance check took approximately an hour which seemed about right considering the thorough cleaning of the coils and filter replacement. The system has been cooling OK for a few days now with no weird noises or problems.
I got a second opinion and saw how well the experts had assessed the placement of the ducting before they started with the AC installation, it took around four hours. The prior company did not take duct layout into account and quoted only two hours. But it was worth the extra time to have it done right.
I was worried about the time frame but they were able to install the AC within 4 hours and cleaned everything up. It's been working fine for the last week with no problems.
This place shows it is in my school but it is in the wrong location
I thought the AC installation would take most of the day but they did it in about four hours and made sure everything was running properly before they left. The guy also explained how to operate the new thermostat which was useful.
