My partner and I moved into one of their properties this past summer. We had an issue with being promised a permanent parking spot by the realtor which didn't exist. They were quick to apologize about the situation and attempted to make it right. Maintenance has been responsive. Unit is in an awesome location in Bucktown. Overall, we are having a great experience with Aljack so far.
I visited my friend at 1352 Carmen, and I was shocked by the building’s condition. The entryway door was broken, and the hallway carpet was stained. During my stay, someone broke into the building and stole his electric scooter. To make matters worse, the tenants on the second floor in apt 2S got into loud fights at 2:30 AM every night, and the police had to be called. since Aljack bought the building i live in i feel like i’m stuck living on a construction site. for the last two months i have crews working nearly every day on the 2 units above me. i wake up to the sounds of my walls crumbling, hammers, drills and boots. even on weekends. i have never been given any sort of heads up or communication regarding the work being done, so every day i wonder if and when the noise and vibrating will happen. luckily my lease is soon ending, and just like the other tennants in my building i am leavi... read more
This company is completely awful, if you are looking to rent an apartment I would look elsewhere, there are way better landlords in Chicago. The maintenance team is a complete joke, things don't get fixed yet they keep collecting your rent! I have lived here going on two years when my lease ends in May and I no longer live in an Aljack building, since last Oct of 22 my garbage disposal is not working at all, the radiator in the apartment above me leaked thru the ceiling last Jan 23 almost a year now, was told it would be f... read more
Highly recommend renting from Aljack! I have nothing but amazing things to say about them. Aljack is easy to reach, quick to respond & resolve issues/complaints, and is always going above and beyond for their tenants. I am in the process of moving from one of their buildings to another and they made the process so easy and painless. 10/10!!
