The site is dirty and there is no room for parking with all the broken down cars that fill the parking lot. The night before, there was a taco stand handing an advertisement for there goods on the iron gate. The next day, you could see the leftover debris where they set up the food business. I went there to get a monthly program, come to find out that they did not have one. I went into the dining room to see what was being served for lunch, looked like cat food. It is so nice. All the Seniors are very friendly and so is the staff. The lunches are delicious and balanced. They have exercise, bingo, Zumba,Karaoke and day trips.
The Vic Senior center is a wonderful place with programs for everyone out there. Great lunches fun sing-alongs and tremendous community spirit!
1) the dining area is always too COLD forcing many seniors to have to wear sweaters or lite jackets even during a soaring heat wave outside!! They should adjust and conform the thermostat to the temperature of 75 per DWP energy savings recommendation while acknowledging the fact that seniors need more warmth than the young'ins. 2) the lunch is always served late, usually around 11:45, or even 11:50 am, well past the other senior centers which serve promply at 11:30am 3) Their "trips" are fruitless as they are invariable "can... read more
