cute place with great location for bikers, bicyclists and tourists. Very young service employees, but above average service. The guy on the deep fryer should fired and then fired again. Could be punishing me for unhealthy choices judging by the political climate of that area. Not many choices there, but super pricey for moderate imaginative menu and average prep.
Don't waste your time or your money – My Girlfriend and I ate at Alice's on a recent Sunday. I have been eating at Alice's for years, so I know not to expect great service, but now the level has dropped to the downright obnoxious. After ordering, we waited 35 minutes for our food; in that time, not once did somone come to the table and apologize, or say anything for that matter- once, my girlfriend's coffee was refilled. You pay extra for syrup with your French Toast or Pancakes. – I have never heard of that! No warning, it just shows up on the bill! An extra $1 for syrup. No, not a whole lot, but it is the principle. French Toast already costs $6.50, pancakes are $7.50. Unbelievable!
Folksy with good solid food – Good, solid road house food. Fantastic sliced prime rib sandwiches, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, etc. Soups are made on premises and desserts come form a local bakery. Breakfast is also good. Located in the heart of the Santa Cruz mountains. Service is friendly and efficeint. Lots of outdoor seating with much of it under cover (in case it rains). I have moved to the area fairly recently and Alice's has become my regular place. A note for Arlo Guthrie fans. This is the Alice's of Alice's Resta... read more
Let's meet at Alice's – is a term commonly used for motorcyclists. Alice's is a casual restaurant, breakfasts, burgers and beers with a nice outdoor patio for the packs of motorcyclists that ride through the area. The food is all decent, nothing special but tastes great after a ride through the twisties. Service is friendly and efficient, the location perfect because there ain't much in the area! Stop on by this local legend if you get the chance....
