I live near this park and get to watch the seasons change with it. The park is beautiful with many trails for hiking. The grounds are well taken care of all year round. The boat ramp is well used with crowds most weekends. What visitors must be aware of is this is not a true urban park. The wildlife here is still wild. Has walking paths and a boat ramp. The deer are very tame. I saw many herons on the river. The river was full of flowers. I recommend checking out the park's kayak tours ($30, all equipment included), which are led by park rangers.
