Geat place – I just love Alfreds. It's a classy place that has great food, good service, and value. It has a welcoming life of it's own. This is a rare gem in Tacoma, and worth a check out
Terrible service - Okay Food – We have been to Alfred's at least 4 times in the past 2 years. We have received terrible service from the waitress 3 out of the 4 times. The last time we were there we ended up leaving after not even being acknowledged after sitting at our table for 10 minutes. If you are able to get past the poor service the food is not bad. However, the parking is terrible.
GREAT RESTAURANT-GREAT VALUE! – Great experience! Food fantastic and a great value! Daily special (roast with vegetables) like Mom used to make. Service great-exceptionally clean including bathrooms. Owner was extremely friendly to us all! We wanted to ask him about the place because we hadn't heard about it and it is so close to the tacoma Dome. Alfreds cafe recent reviews – For all of you considering going to Alfreds Cafe in Tacoma, do yourself a favor and stop by McDonalds instead. On a recent experience was disgusted by the service and the quality of the "food". I was shocked by the rudeness of the owner and his complete disregard for any tact whatsoever when asked a question of recommendation. AMAZING! – We celebrated my friends 25th birthday. Never been to Tacoma, this place ranked higher than anywhere in Seattle. The service was amazing, more than willing to help in the festivities, putting up with loud high pitched drunken women, and took the extra steps to make this birthday one for the books! We can see why the Tacoma Trib. gave it one of their few 4 stars! Kicked back fun place. Kind of a "Cheers" place. Free GREAT potato chipd during "Happy hour" that are made fresh! Drinks are GREAT booze at give away prices. WE LOVE IT! When the "stylish" are through posing at the other places, they all end up here for reality!
